Millipedes

The round bodied millipedes are owned by our eldest son & the flat ones belong to our youngest daughter, they are responsible for researching, choosing & raising the species they keep as well as preparing & packing the offspring for sale.

* Please Note that most flat millipedes can produce very small amounts of Cyanide if threatened - not enough to be harmful to humans but they WILL need to have good ventilation & be handled very carefully. (Our daughter has handled them gently & not had any problems yet)

When keeping millipedes, please be aware that the substrate is very important - they will mostly eat dead leaves, rotting wood & various lichens - most species will usually eat fruit or veg as an addition to their diet but there are a few species of millipede that won't eat fruit or veg at all so please research your chosen species thoroughly.
